What happens to us at the time of death, and when we transition through the Bardo? What do the visions, hallucinations and feelings mean? How can we create a good rebirth? We can prepare for these states through a number of powerful meditation practices, so that we can overcome our fear at the time of death. These will also help us to live better lives, and support others as they die.

“As a star, a visual aberration, a lamp, an illusion, dew, a bubble, a dream, lightning, and a cloud - view all the compounded like that” In this sutra, Subhuti asks the Buddha how one should practice and control one’s mind. The Vajra Cutter Sutra captures Buddha’s answer, touching extensively on the ‘wisdom gone beyond’: the only way to truly free ourselves from the causes of our suffering.

Geshe Thubten Sherab will be teaching on this profound sutra for Australian FPMT centres.
